A SWAT incident Saturday in Butler Township has resulted in the arrest of 38-year-old Butler resident Kenneth Eugene Snyder Jr.

Snyder is charged with terroristic threats and aggravated assault, according to a release from the Butler Township Police Department.

Snyder is accused of stabbing a 39-year-old man multiple times in the torso and leg areas, the release said.

The incident, described by police as a domestic situation, took place at a residence near the intersection of Freeport Road and Center Ave., according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI.

In addition, Snyder threatened to kill responding police officers on scene and barricaded himself inside the home, the release said.

Snyder was taken into custody Saturday and remains in the Butler County Prison.

The unidentified victim was taken Saturday to Butler Hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.
