Memorial Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church, at 8800 Peebles Road in Allison Park, is providing print and virtual resources to help people prepare their hearts and minds throughout the Lenten season.
These free resources are available in print each weekend at the church, as well as in audio and digital formats on the Memorial Park website.
Lent is an important and impactful time for the church as Christians count the days until Easter with prayer and fasting.
The Memorial Park staff has created weekly devotionals in print, virtual, and audio formats; musical playlists on YouTube; and opportunities to worship together this Lenten season.
The daily devotions will coincide with the sermon series, “An Inward Look with an Upward Focus” that will explore the book of Psalms. The devotions will continue through Holy Week, coupled with special activities including Palm Sunday services, Memorial Park’s traditional Maundy Thursday cantata, a Good Friday audio devotional, and a Saturday Family Easter Celebration.
Performances of the Maundy Thursday cantata will take place April 14 at Memorial Park Church and Friday, April 15 at Pleasant Hills Church, both at 7:00 p.m.
The Family Easter Celebration follows on April 16 at 9 a.m. All families are invited!
