I am a retired PennDOT employee and embarrassed by what I see happening to our roads’ safety and repairs.
On Route 981 south of Latrobe, it is appalling to see the so-called “dip” repair and re-repair by what I am assuming is done by our District 12 maintenance crew. Also, the patch repair in downtown Latrobe is appalling.
Just lately on Lincoln Avenue between Racers and the Pond, a utility repair crew had no one taking care of the traffic control properly.
Doesn’t anyone care? If you get paid to do a job, do it right or hire a qualified inspector to make sure our money is being used properly.
