I am writing to express my concerns regarding the cost overruns for the expansion of the Allegheny Valley Joint Sewage Authority plant (“Harmar sees 47% sewage fee hike as cost of new treatment plant soars,” Feb. 18, TribLIVE). Where is the accountability for the near 200% increase in the cost to this project? There needs to be an investigation/audit and answers given to the customers who are paying the tab with sewage fees increasing by 47%-plus.

We need to hold the individuals and companies accountable for the outrageous rate increase and apparent mismanagement of responsibilities.
