In advance of single-game ticket sales starting Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Pirates announced 36 promotional dates for the 2022 season at PNC Park, including bobbleheads celebrating Hall of Famer Bill Mazeroski, Cy Young winner Doug Drabek and All-Star Bryan Reynolds.
The Pirates are planning 36 promotional dates, including 26 giveaways, a drone skylight show June 3 and two skyblast fireworks extravaganzas, two of the six featured fireworks nights by Zambelli.
The Pirates will feature a Reynolds bobblehead June 18 against the San Francisco Giants, his previous team before being acquired in a trade for Andrew McCutchen in January 2018.
The tribute to eight-time Gold Glove winner Mazeroski will be July 5 against the New York Yankees, the team he beat with the legendary walk-off home run in Game 7 to clinch the 1960 World Series championship at Forbes Field.
A Pirates Parrot bobblebelly will be distributed Aug. 19 against the Cincinnati Reds, and Drabek’s 1990 Cy Young Award will be celebrated Sept. 24 against the Chicago Cubs.
The Pirates also will give a free magnetic schedule to all fans on Opening Day against the St. Louis Cardinals on March 31, have 14 Sunday Kids Days, four poster giveaways, a youth replica jersey day (May 22), Pirates cap day on Father’s Day (June 19) and Kids Pierogy figurines (July 24).
