The weekend has arrived. Here are some ways to spend it.
Pet expo
The Pittsburgh Pet Expo – the largest pet expo on the East Coast – is Friday through Sunday at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Downtown.
The expo includes three days of competitions and adoption opportunities as well as a costume contest. There will be exotic birds and reptiles, North America Diving Dogs and a grooming competition. More than 200 exhibitors will fill the convention center with pet-related products. Pets on a leash are welcome.
The Pittsburgh Pet Expo is presented by Healthy Pet Products. Tickets are $5-$10.

Food trucks
“Food Truck A Palooza,” a food truck festival, is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Monroeville Convention Center.
Presented by GoodTaste! Pittsburgh, a producer of culinary shows, it collaborates with national celebrity chefs, the best of the ‘Burgh chefs, and new food trends. The event will showcase 24 Western Pennsylvania mobile restaurants and celebrate fare from around the world.
The event is sponsored by Steel City Media and Monroeville Kia. There are vegan options and Asian food as well as dessert choices and waffles made from pizza dough. There will be a tailgate party as well as games, live music and roving entertainment. A holiday marketplace will feature more than 36 vendors.
New this year is an inflatable snow globe filled to include holiday décor.
Tickets are $15, $10 in advance. Children 10 and under are free.
Admission does not include food truck purchases.

Sweater weather
The forecast for Saturday is 46 degrees Fahrenheit. That is perfect sweater weather for Cardigan Day.
WQED is hosting Zipper Up, Button Down!, a day to wear your favorite cardigan, snap a picture, and share it on social media using #CardiganDay.
The station where “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” was filmed is asking its “neighbors” to support and spread kindness by donning their cardigans on the day which is also “National Kindness Day.” The show’s star Fred Rogers changed into a cardigan sweater and tennis shoes at the start of each show.

Go to a movie
Film Pittsburgh’s Three Rivers Film Festival will be showing films Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The festival takes place at four venues — the Kelly Strayhorn Theater in East Liberty, Waterworks Cinema along Freeport Road near Aspinwall, the Tull Family Theater in Sewickley and Hollywood Theater in Dormont. The range of movies includes drama, horror, romance and comedy. There are also virtual films.
Tickets are $15.

Philly in the Burgh’
Philadanco, the Philadelphia Dance Company, known for its African American traditions in dance, will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at the August Wilson African American Culture Center, Downtown.
The company will perform pieces including ”Super 8!,” choreographed by Ray Mercer, and “Enemy Behind the Gates,” choreographed by Christopher Huggins with music by Steve Reich. The performance celebrates the dance company’s 51st anniversary season and 61st anniversary as a dance school.
Tickets start at $37.25.
