The Follies is back. After a covid-induced absence, writer Philip Beard and his merry band of local talent will take you on a farcical tour of the past 18 months in “Fox Chapel Follies — Unmasked!”

It is followed by an Act II trip down memory lane through your favorite Follies songs from the past 20 years in “The Best of the Follies.”

The evening includes dinner and the show at The Pittsburgh Field Club and runs Oct 21-23 and 28-30. Cocktails are at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30. The Follies are at 8 p.m.

There will also be a no-dinner paid dress rehearsal Oct. 20. The event will adhere to the covid-19 protocols currently in place for all Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Events.

Presented by the District Association of the Fox Chapel Area, The Follies has become one the largest charity events in Western Pennsylvania. The last show raised more than $130,000 for worthy causes throughout the Fox Chapel Area School District.

Past beneficiaries have included the Sharpsburg Library, the Laurie Ann West Community Center and Aspinwall Riverfront Park (now Allegheny RiverTrail Park).
