He struck out six, walked three and gave up a home run. His ERA rose to 2.35. RF Blight Madris (.265) hit a grand slam, his third home run of the season. 2B Dee Strange-Gordon (.267) went 2 for 5 with three runs scored. LF Chris Sharpe (.204) went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs. 3B Hunter Owen (.222) and DH Christian Bethancourt (.275) had two hits apiece.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 35-27) jumped out to a four-run lead in the first and beat Binghamton (Mets), 5-1. 3B Rodolfo Castro (.315), back from a promotion to the Pirates, went 3 for 4 with an RBI. CF Jonah Davis (.238) went 3 for 4, hit his eighth home run and stole his fourth base. DH Canaan Smith-Njigba (.282) went 1 for 3 with a double and his 12th stolen base. 1B Mason Martin (.273) was 1 for 4 with a double. SS Josh Bissonette (.223) had two hits. LHP Cam Vieaux (4-1, 4.03) went six innings, giving up one run and fanning nine. RHP Shea Murray, LHP Cam Allred and RHP Cristofer Melendez combined to throw three innings of scoreless relief.

RHP Tahnaj Thomas started and went four innings, allowing one run on six hits with six strikeouts. RHP Alexander Manasa (1-1, 5.06) pitched 3.1 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.
