As America and the world strive to have life resume to “normal,” it is long overdue that the covid case numbers be removed from the Tribune-Review and the TribLIVE website. Seeing those numbers are reminiscent of the daily body counts during the Vietnam War — and if you recall, those numbers were demoralizing and divisive to America.

Having the daily covid numbers held in our face has been a questionable act during a time when unity has been necessary. If anything, the covid crisis has caused division in our great land.

It’s time to let it go and move forward. I challenge you to remove the daily covid count from your publications.
