I weep and wail over the shootings after shootings happening in the U.S. in the past two months, specifically for the Sikh community.

You can learn about the Sikh faith at sikhnet.com (go to “Who Are the Sikhs?” at top of home page).

You can read the stories online of Sikhs murdered in the U.S. since 9/11. They include Balbir Singh Sodhi, the first case of alleged “retaliation” killings after 9/11; Sita Singh, Ranjit Singh, Satwant Singh Kaleka, Prakash Singh, Paramjit Kaur and Suveg Singh, killed at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin in Oak Creek in 2012; and Amarjeet Johal, Jaswinder Kaur, Jaswinder Singh, Amarjit Sekhon and four others killed in Indianapolis in April.

Take action to support the Sikh community as called for at Solidarity Vigil.com, including sending a message of sympathy to the families of the victims of the April 15 shootings at the FedEx facility in Indianapolis (four of the eight victims were Sikhs).

Let’s each show compassion and support by our actions and by building relationships with diverse people in our own communities.
