The Penguins are scheduled to start goaltender Tristan Jarry for Tuesday’s rematch with the Boston Bruins at PPG Paints Arena.

Coach Mike Sullivan announced Jarry’s status via video conference following Tuesday’s morning skate.

Jarry recorded his first shutout of the season Sunday after making 30 saves in a 1-0 home win against the Bruins.

In 33 games this season, Jarry has a 21-8-3 record, a 2.70 goals against average and a .911 save percentage.

Notes:

• The Penguins can clinch a playoff berth with a win and a regulation loss by the New York Rangers (who host the Buffalo Sabres).

• Injured Penguins forwards Evgeni Malkin and Frederick Gaudreau each participated in the morning skate, albeit with limited contact.

Sullivan ruled both players out for Tuesday’s game but suggested each player looks “stronger” in their recoveries from various ailments.

• The Bruins are expected to start goaltender Tuukka Rask. In 19 games this season, Rask has an 11-4-2 record along with a 2.36 goals against average, a .913 save percentage and one shutout.
