Minor league report: Penguins’ losing streak reaches four

Goaltender Alex D’Orio made 24 saves on 26 shots for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 3-1 road loss to the rival Hershey Bears at the Giant Center in Hershey on Saturday.

Forward Drew O’Connor scored the lone goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (7-11-3-2), which has lost four consecutive games.

Highlights:

The Penguins’ next game is a home contest against the Bears on Sunday, 5 p.m.

Goaltender Taran Kozun made 26 saves on 32 shots for the Wheeling Nailers in a 7-2 road loss to the Fort Wayne Komets at the Allen County War Memorial in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Forward Austin Fyten and defenseman Jesse Lees each scored goals for Wheeling (16-26-5-1).

Highlights:

The Nailers’ final game is a home contest against the Komets on Sunday, 4:10 p.m.
