Penguins to start goaltender Casey DeSmith against Devils

The Penguins are scheduled to start goaltender Casey DeSmith for Friday’s road game against the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

In 16 games this season, DeSmith has a 9-5-0 record along with a 2.30 goals against average, a .915 save percentage and two shutouts.

Note:

• Forward Teddy Blueger is scheduled to miss a 13th consecutive games due to an undisclosed injury.

In 28 games this season, Blueger has 15 points (four goals, 11 assists). He remains on injured reserve.
