Letter to the editor: Westmoreland commissioners not to blame for lack of vaccines

I’ve read a lot of misleading letters recently trying to pin blame on Republicans for a lack of vaccines getting to Westmoreland County. It smells like an organized effort from Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf’s Harrisburg propaganda machine to deflect blame for his fumbling of the vaccine distribution in the commonwealth.

Wolf didn’t lead when covid hit Pennsylvania; he waited for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to make a decision, then followed him off the cliff. Cuomo is not an ideal political mentor, as we’ve recently learned he lied about the number of covid deaths in order to maintain positive press.

Wolf simply hasn’t prioritized the vaccine distribution to Westmoreland County. It’s plain to see if you check his Facebook; he’s too busy trying to solve “climate change” by killing the fossil- fuel industry, raising the minimum wage on already struggling small businesses, and increasing the personal income taxes on Pennsylvanians who have suffered through a terrible economic year.

Wolf seems to have enjoyed his pandemic powers, which have allowed him unilateral decision-making ability for the past year. That’s why I don’t believe he’s in too big of a rush to solve the crisis.
