Easter drive-thru in Murrysville
Murrysville Recreation Department and Murrysville Community Library officials will host a March 26 Easter drive-thru at the municipal building on Sardis Road.
From 3:30-5:30 p.m., families can stop by, wave to the Easter bunny and yellow chick and pick up a free treat bag while supplies last.
The municipal building is at 4100 Sardis Road. For more, call the library at 724-327-2100, ext. 153, or the recreation department at ext. 131.

Murrysville council to vote on renewing Comcast agreement
Murrysville officials will advertise an ordinance entering into a new 10-year agreement with cable provider Comcast.
The contract is non-exclusive, meaning other companies are free to provide services in the area. However, Murrysville Chief Administrator Jim Morrison said another provider like Verizon must determine if it’s worth the investment.
“In areas where they were already providing phone service, overlaying their Fios lines was very simple,” Morrison said. “We have very limited abilities here in controlling both the cost and the competition.”
Council could vote on the ordinance at its next meeting, set for 7 p.m., March 3 at the municipal building.
Library make reopening plans
The Murrysville Community Library announced tentative plans to reopen to the public this week, Councilwoman Toni Brockway said.
Library patrons should keep an eye on the library website, MurrysvilleLibrary.org, and its social media channels for the most up-do-date information.
