Police in Washington County are searching for a man in connection with a pair of shootings — one fatal — on Tuesday that may be connected.

The first shooting occurred shortly before 4:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Family Dollar store at 130 Highland Ave. in the city of Washington.

The Washington County coroner’s office identified the victim as Darnell Steven Brown, 41, of Washington.

The second shooting occurred along Heslop Avenue in Donora, which is about 30 miles away, according to Tribune-Review news partners WPXI-TV.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment by medical helicopter. No information was available about the identity of the victim or the extent of injuries, the station reported.

Investigators are searching for Zackory James Sadler, 36, in connection with the two shootings.

Police said he may be driving a stolen 2013 black BMW with red and green stripes on the front. The vehicle’s license plate reads LLB-6554.

Anyone with information about the shooting can contact police at 724-223-4226.
