Pittsburgh’s celebrity songstress is a new mom.
“American Idol” alum and Munhall native Gabby Barrett and husband Cade Foehner welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Baylah May, on Jan. 18.
Barrett, 20, updated her fans with the big news in various social media posts including a Twitter post Tuesday that included a partially obscured photo of Baylah, swaddled in a maroon blanket, accompanied by an embellished name tag.

The couple met in 2018 and dated while they were both contestants during of “American Idol.” Barrett placed third on the show.
Barrett and Foehner married in 2019 in Texas and reside in Nashville.
Barrett, one of eight children, began performing at age 9.
She attended Serra Catholic High School but switched to homeschooling as her performance schedule grew more demanding.
Her Instagram profile describes her as a follower of Christ, wife, mama and gives a shout out to country music.
In 2017, Barrett organized a “Dreams Really Do Come True” assemblies tour, visiting Pittsburgh area schools with an anti-bullying message.
Her debut album, “Goldmine,” was released in June last year via Warner Music Nashville.
She most recently won Breakthrough Video of the Year for her hit single, “I Hope” during the 2020 CMT Music Awards, making her the youngest artist with a No. 1 debut in country music in more than 20 years.
She was featured in Variety’s 2020 Young Hollywood Impact Report, spotlighted as an Amazon Music Breakthrough artist, named Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing and a Sirius XM and Pandora Country Artist to Watch.
She has opened shows for Daya, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban.
