Former Pitt soccer player Edward Kizza, who set school goal-scoring records over his 53-game, three-year career, was drafted Thursday by the New England Revolution with the 24th selection in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft.

Kizza is the first Pitt player selected in the first round by the MLS in the 25-year history of the draft.
Kizza scored 31 goals, nine of them game-winners, from 2017-2019. In 2018 and 2019, he recorded the two best per-game scoring averages in Pitt men’s soccer history (.833 and .6). His 15 goals in ‘18 were the most in one season at Pitt in 64 years.
