The latest coronavirus numbers in the South Hills

As coronavirus cases continue to surge in Allegheny County and across the country, the communities within the South Hills have varying numbers of both positive cases and deaths.

As of Jan. 12, there have been 1,811 total cases of the novel coronavirus in Baldwin Borough since March, according to the latest information provided by an interactive Allegheny County covid-19 map. The borough has reported 35 deaths and 6,392 tests have been administered to borough residents.

Since the pandemic began, Whitehall has had 1,248 cases (37 deaths), Jefferson Hills has had 754 cases (14 deaths), Brentwood has had 642 cases (five deaths), Pleasant Hills has had 587 cases (10 deaths) and Baldwin Township has had 111 cases (one death).
