Minor league report: Nailers drop second straight to Stingrays

The Wheeling Nailers lost their second road game in as many nights to the South Carolina Stingrays, falling 6-3 at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, S.C., on Saturday.

Goaltender Shane Starrett made 25 saves on 30 shots for Wheeling (2-5-3) while forwards Matt Alfaro, Cody Sylvester and Patrick Watling scored the Nailers’ goals.

The Nailers’ next game is on the road against the Indy Fuel at 7:05 p.m. Friday.
