For the third time this season, Pitt’s men’s basketball team is faced with a postponement due to covid-19 concerns.

Pitt was scheduled to return to the Petersen Events to play No. 25 Florida State on Saturday in its first home game since Dec. 22. But the ACC postponed the game Thursday after positive test results within the Seminoles program.

Pitt (6-2, 2-1) has played only one game in the past three weeks, a 63-60 victory at Syracuse on Wednesday. Games against Duke on Dec. 29 and Notre Dame on Jan. 2 also were also postponed. No makeup dates were announced.

In addition, Pitt’s game at Georgia Tech has been moved from Tuesday to Wednesday in Atlanta.

“It’s exhausting putting in so much and not knowing,” Capel said. “We went up to Syracuse hoping we would play.”
