Minor league report: Nailers beat Swamp Rabbits in overtime

An overtime goal by forward Matt Alfaro gave the Wheeling Nailers a 5-4 road win against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at the Bon Secours Wellness Arenal in Greenville, S.C. on Wednesday.

Alfaro also had assist in Wheeling’s second victory of the season while forwards Sean Josling and Cody Sylvester contributed a goal and an assist for the Nailers (2-3-3). Goaltender Shane Starrett made 34 saves on 38 shots in the victory.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is on the road against the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday, 7:05 p.m.
