The Pittsburgh Penguins re-signed restricted free agent forward Anthony Angello to a two-year contract with a salary cap hit of $725,000.

The contract is a two-way deal in the 2020-21 season and one-way in 2021-22.

Angello, 24, made his NHL debut in 2019-20 by appearing in eight games and scoring one goal.

A fifth-round pick (No. 145 overall) in 2014, Angello (6-foot-5, 210 pounds) was the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins’ leading goal-scorer in 2019-20 with 16 while also posting 25 points overall in 48 American Hockey League games.

With Angello signed, the Penguins have $1,843,158 of salary cap space according to Cap Friendly.

Minor league forwards Pontus Aberg and Sam Miletic are the Penguins’ only remaining restricted free agents.
