2 injured in separate Pittsburgh shootings

Separate shootings Sunday evening in Pittsburgh left two men injured, authorities said.

The first happened about 5:20 p.m. in Lincoln-Lemington, according to police. Officers and medics responded to Lincoln Avenue for a report of a shooting but found the victim had been driven to the hospital.

Police searched for a second victim but did not find anyone else with injuries, according to a statement from spokesperson Maurice Matthews. One person was detained.

The second incident happened about an hour later on Bennett Street in Homewood.

One man with a gunshot wound to his chest taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to Matthews. One person was detained.

No information was available on any charges filed in either incident.
