The Sheetz in Creighton closed Wednesday after an employee tested positive for covid-19.

The employee was at the Sheetz location on Freeport Road, in the Creighton section of East Deer, on Wednesday morning.

Because of the positive test, the store closed immediately.

The location is being professionally deep cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected, according to Nick Ruffner, company spokesman.

Gas pumps are also being cleaned and sanitized.

“We are taking an abundantly cautious approach, working with all employees who may have had close contact with this employee and exceeding all sanitation guidelines,” Ruffner said.

Sheetz will continue to pay employees during the closure.
