A woman was in critical condition after being shot several times late Sunday in McKeesport, Allegheny County police said.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident which happened just before 10:40 p.m. in the 700 block of Evans Avenue.
Emergency crews found the 41-year-old victim suffering gunshot wounds to the back, arm and leg, police said.
Police said the woman was sitting on her porch with others when a masked man walked up to the house and fired his gun. Another man that was sitting on the porch fired back as the suspect fled toward Beacon Avenue, police said.

The shooting follows two deadly incidents in McKeesport that happened last week.
A West Mifflin man was shot and killed by three assailants at Crawford Village on June 15 and a 29-year-old woman died after being shot on June 18 outside a bar along Fifth Avenue.
