Pitt continued to stockpile high school seniors Friday, adding two defensive backs to its 16-man class of 2021. Two years ago, Pitt didn’t get its first verbal commitment until June 10.

Cornerback Khalil Anderson of Riverwood High School in Sandy Springs, Ga., gave coach Pat Narduzzi the good news Friday. Anderson followed Central Valley safety Stephon Hall, who committed earlier in the day. That gives Pitt commitments from four defensive backs in its current class.

After Anderson committed, the Panthers’ class is ranked 20th in the nation and fourth in the ACC by Rivals.com, behind No. 4 Clemson, No. 7 North Carolina and No. 12 Miami. Pitt is expected to sign more than 20 high school seniors this year.

Anderson, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals and the 94th overall in Georgia. He has offers from Michigan State, Kansas, Kansas State, Duke, Syracuse and Wake Forest.

Anderson is the second Georgia player to commit to the Panthers, joining linebacker Preston Lavant.
