There’s no word on when – or if – Kennywood Park will open this year.

But 2020 season pass holders received a little bit of good news when the West Mifflin park announced that this year’s passes would be extended through all of 2021.

And, for a limited time, that includes newly purchased passes at the park’s website.

“While the experience will be different from any season in our history, we remain committed to delivering the safe, family fun that’s been our calling card since 1898,” the park said in a release. “… We can’t wait until the day you’re back with us and the sounds of summer fill the air again.”

Amusement parks around the state are offering similar benefits. Hersheypark has extended its extended its season passes through June 30, 2021, and Dorney Park outside Philadelphia has extended its passes for all of 2021.
