Pat Narduzzi made arrangements for Pitt’s present and future over a busy Mother’s Day weekend that raised the program’s national profile — at least on paper.
Pitt’s coach received three verbal commitments from three-star prospects Sunday, pushing its 12-man class of 2021 to No. 21 in the nation, according to Rivals.com. The class is fifth in the ACC behind Clemson, North Carolina, Miami and Virginia.
That came a day after Pitt secured a pledge from graduate transfer offensive lineman Keldrick Wilson of Hampton (Va.) University. Wilson will compete for a starting job at tackle this season.
The three latest high school pledges came from offensive linemen Terrence Enos of Cass Tech (Mich.) and Brandon Honorable of Martin Luther King (Mich.) and linebacker Preston Lavant of Crisp County (Ga.).

Enos (6-foot-5, 314 pounds) has scholarship offers from 26 schools, including national champion LSU, West Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland and Syracuse. He is the 48th-ranked offensive tackle in the nation and 16th prospect overall in Michigan, according to Rivals.
Enos and Honorable bring Pitt’s total to four offensive linemen in next year’s class. When Enos and Honorable sign letters of intent, that will give Narduzzi a total of eight offensive linemen from the classes of 2019, ’20 and ’21.
Honorable (6-6, 270) attends the same high school as former Pitt cornerback Avonte Maddox, now with the Philadelphia Eagles. Honorable has offers from Minnesota, Syracuse, Iowa State and Michigan State.
“He has, arguably, as much upside as any offensive lineman in (Michigan),” 247 recruiting analyst Allen Trieu said on Twitter. “A guy, I think, can develop into a franchise-type left tackle.”

“I just love his personality. He’s vocal on the field, but, at the same time, he is a lunch-pail guy,” Crisp County coach Brad Harber told southernpigskin.com. “He is fun to be around and very mature in his thinking while being a great team guy. He understands the importance of all three phases of the game, special teams, offense and defense.”
