I am not a President Trump fan. Trump used our taxpayer dollars to send me $1,200. The president had his name put on the checks. I was appalled that he would use taxpayer money to give the impression he was giving us the money.

Today, I received another letter from the president. It told us how helpful this money can be to me. This, I assume, was to infer how grateful we should be for the money. It was a form letter sent to every recipient.

I resent that he used taxpayer money, through the U.S. Postal Service, to infer how grateful we should be, when in the end it is our money “he” is sending me. I am retired and have a pension and Social Security that provide me a good income. The $1,200, I don’t need. I believe the billions disbursed would be better applied to unemployment compensation.

I believe the president used this money to promote his image, especially to Trump fans.
