Former Pitt shooting guard Ryan Murphy announced on his Twitter account Wednesday morning his intention to attend Tulane next season.

Tulane (12-18, 4-14), which finished last in the 12-team American Athletic Conference this season, will be Murphy’s fourth school in as many seasons. He attended Charlotte and New Mexico Junior College before playing at Pitt through the 2019-20 season.

Murphy, 22, chose Tulane over BYU, UC-Santa Barbara and East Carolina. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

In his only season at Pitt, he was the Panthers’ most accurate 3-point shooter among its regulars (33.1 percent) and led the team with 42 field goals from beyond the arc. He started 12 games, but his playing time diminished after suffering a concussion at mid-season.

Pitt has lost its top two 3-point shooters, with guard Trey McGowens also planning to transfer. McGowens said he will choose from among Auburn, Arkansas, Alabama, Ole Miss, TCU, Xavier, Seton Hall and Nebraska.
