March 13 falls on a Friday this year, and that means a couple things.
Most importantly, some Pittsburgh tattoo shops are running Friday the 13th flash tattoo specials.
Here’s a list of shops participating in the “holiday” festivities.
• Pittsburgh Tattoo Company, 103 Smithfield St., Downtown. Tattoos are $40 on arms or legs only. Doors open at noon.
• Bloodlines Gallery & Tattoo Studio, 4764 Liberty Ave., Bloomfield. Tattoos are $31 plus mandatory $9 tip. Noon to 8 p.m.
• Carson Street Tattoo, 1309 E. Cason St., South Side. Tattoos are $31 plus minimum $9 tip, shading and color extra. Doors open at 10 a.m.
• Alter Ego Body Art Studio, 4136 Library Road, Unit A3, Castle Shannon. Tattoos are $31 and $66. Starts at 10 a.m.
Normally, the least customers can spend at a tattoo shop is about $50 or $60 for something small. Those getting tattoos can usually expect to pay $150 or more depending on size and color.
