Pittsburgh is changing the traffic patterns starting on Sunday along heavily traveled Second Avenue.

The Department of Mobility and Infrastructure announced Thursday that the inbound lane of the street will close from the Armstrong Tunnel to Brady Street until around November. All traffic will shift to the outbound lanes.

DOMI said the closure is necessary for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to repair two sections of retaining wall along the Parkway East (I-376) near the 10th Street Bridge and along the Eliza Furnace Trail near Technology Drive.

The work will obstruct a portion of the trail, but it will remain open during the the project.
