Pitt’s Blue-Gold spring game will be April 11 at Heinz Field and televised by the ACC Network.

Pitt has played the spring game at Heinz Field every year since 2016 after former coach Paul Chryst canceled it in 2014. Previously, Pitt played its spring games under Chryst at the North Hills and Bethel Park High School fields.

Coach Pat Narduzzi brought back the game in 2015, when it was played at Highmark Stadium because Heinz Field was unavailable during renovations. Narduzzi moved it to Heinz Field in 2016, believing it was important the spring game be played at the same venue where regular-season games are held.

Narduzzi, entering his sixth season at Pitt, will put his 2020 roster through its first of 15 spring practices March 2. The Panthers return seven starters on offense and seven more on defense from last season’s team that finished 8-5.
