Under it all
The annual Cupid’s Undie Run is Saturday afternoon. Pittsburgh is one of several cities across the country to support those impacted by neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body.
Cupid’s Undie Run kicks off with drinking and dancing, then participants jog a mile and end it all with an epic dance party. It starts at McFadden’s on the North Shore at noon.

Lights! Glamour! Action!
Pittsburgh Film Office’s Lights! Glamour! Action! Oscar-inspired event is Saturday at The Pennsylvanian, Downtown. The film office’s annual fundraising gala draws 700 of Pittsburgh’s celebrities, entertainment professionals, business leaders and politicians. The red carpet event includes gourmet food, specialty cocktails and interactive experiences.
This year the film office commemorates 30 years of supporting the movie industry and marks Dawn Keezer’s 25 years as director. The Oscars are Sunday night on ABC.

Keep on truckin’
Monster Jam rides into Pittsburgh Friday through Sunday at PPG Paints Arena for the Monster Jam Triple Threat Series. These 12,000-pound vehicles are part of the competition where trained drivers show their skills against one other, competing in trucks, speedsters and ATVs for points in challenging racing and freestyle events that test agility, speed and versatility. Sixty trucks carrying 1,200 yards of clay dirt were unloaded Thursday.
Audience members can get in on the action in the freestyle competitions by judging and scoring the events using their smart phones and a special code at judgeszone.com.

Remodel it
Over 10,000 people are expected to attend the 17th annual Pittsburgh Remodeling Expo, an event that brings home improvement exhibitors Friday through Sunday at the Heinz Field UPMC Club Lounge on the North Shore. The show features seminars, exhibits and demonstrations from local and national companies, designed to help consumers through the process of home improvement.
Exhibitors will be on hand with expertise in kitchen and bathroom remodeling, sunrooms and additions, flooring, and energy efficient windows.

Miss Saigon
The North American tour of “Miss Saigon” – a love story set in Saigon in 1975 near the end of the Vietnam War – runs Friday through Sunday at the Benedum Center, Downtown. The Broadway musical focuses on an orphaned 17-year-old Vietnamese woman named Kim (played by Emily Bautista) who meets and falls in love with an American soldier named Chris (Anthony Festa) while working in a Saigon nightclub and brothel known as Dreamland.
After the fall of Saigon, Chris returns home, unaware that he has fathered a son, and Kim embarks on a three-year journey to find him.
