Duquesne Light reported that all of the customers who lost power in several Pittsburgh neighborhoods Sunday evening had it restored by 9:30 p.m.
As of 9 p.m. Sunday, Duquesne Light was reporting less than 500 customers were still without power after having more than 2,000 customers across parts of Allegheny County without power a half-hour before the start of the Super Bowl, according to the power company’s website.
The most affected area was Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood, where more than 1,200 customers were without electricity around 6 p.m.
Highland Park had close to 500 customers affected at the outages; Morningside had about 300.
Other Allegheny County communities affected included Ben Avon, Ben Avon Heights, Duquesne, Kilbuck, Munhall, Shadyside, West Mifflin, and Whitaker.
Duquesne Light spokesman Matt McDonald said the outage in East Liberty was caused by a failed connector.
