Bar Louie, a national gastrobar chain with two locations in the Pittsburgh area, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the company announced Monday.

The two local Bar Louie locations are at The Waterfront in Homestead and on the North Shore between PNC Park and Heinz Field. Both of those locations, along with 90 others across the country, will continue to operate, the company said in a statement.

Bar Louie serves craft cocktails, beer and wine along with brunch, happy hour, dinner and late-night food.

Underperforming locations were closed prior to the filing, the statement said.

“Bar Louie is a profitable business focused on long-term growth with new investors,” Bar Louie CEO Tom Fricke said in a statement. “The sale through Chapter 11 will help us to focus on our profitable core locations and expand in areas that have a proven track record of success.”
