Authorities in Washington County are investigating the circumstances surrounding a video posted to a social media site earlier this month by a staffer of Pittsburgh’s Brashear High School.

The staff member was placed on leave after the post was reported Jan. 13, according to Pittsburgh Public Schools spokeswoman Ebony Pugh.

The video was characterized as inappropriate, Pugh said. She wouldn’t say where the video was posted or what position the staffer holds at the school.

Pittsburgh police initially investigated, but determined the incident in question happened in Washington County and deferred comment to Washington County District Attorney Eugene Vittone.

Vittone said Thursday evening that he had not been contacted about the incident.
