The Penguins are missing another player from their lineup for Wednesday’s home game against the St. Louis Blues at PPG Paints Arena.

Defenseman Jack Johnson is scratched from the lineup due to an illness.

In 26 games this season, Johnson has four points (one goal, three assists).

Already hobbled due to injuries to fellow defensemen Brian Dumoulin (left ankle) and Justin Schultz (suspected groin pull), the Penguins opened the contest with scrambled defensive pairings.

During warmups, all-star Kris Letang skated with rookie John Marino on the top pair. The second duo was composed of Marcus Petters and Chad Ruhwedel. On the third pair, Juuso Riikola was teamed with Zach Trotman.
