Regarding the article “Greensburg Salem approves 5-year teachers contract” (Nov. 14, TribLIVE): First, we are lucky to have Robin Savage and Jeff Metrosky on the school board. I feel that they are the only two who stand up for us taxpayers. Election Day was a joke. Those of you who re-elected those seven others get what you deserve. Time for a change, people.
I’m tired of giving in to their demands. They want, want, want and we pay, pay, pay. I’m tired of hearing the teachers bellyache all the time. They make median salary. Live on it like the rest of us. Pay for your own health care and retirement like the rest of the country. Most parents and working parents have to come home from work and take on a second job as teacher — with no pay — because you aren’t doing your job in the schools.
Suck it up like the rest of us and do your job.
