Minor league report: Nailers beat Komets in overtime

An overtime goal by forward Cam Brown gave the Wheeling Nailers a 6-5 home win against the Fort Wayne Komets on Sunday at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling.

Brown also scored with 4:21 left in regulation to force overtime and recorded two assists while forward Jan Drozg, a 2017 fifth-round pick of the Penguins, also netted two goals and two assists for the Nailers (6-5-2-0).

Goaltender Alex D’Orio made 25 saves in the victory for Wheeling which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Highlights:

The Nailers’ next game is at home against the Cincinnati Cyclones on Tuesday, 10:45 a.m.
