Incumbents held steady in contested races for Penn Township commissioner, while it was smooth sailing for school board candidates in the general election.

First Ward Republican incumbent Jeffrey Shula came away with a commanding win, taking 71.6% of 862 votes over Democratic challenger Bill Leonard.

Incumbent Republican Lisa Rose Zaucha and Chuck Konkus, who appeared on both ballots, were uncontested in the township’s Second and Third Wards, respectively.

In the Fifth Ward, incumbent Republican Larry A. Harrison held off a strong challenge from Democrat Stanley Caroline Jr., taking 51.3% of 1,125 votes cast.

On the school board, candidates from Regions I, II and III were all uncontested, with incumbents Dallas Leonard, Nick Petrucci, Scott Koscho, Philip Kochasic and Jim Matarazzo all retaining their seats.
