Two of three seats for Jefferson Hills council have been determined. The third open four year seat is still too close to call.

Six newcomers vyed for one of three open, four-year seats on borough council.

Democrats Karen Bucy and Nicole Ruscitto secured a spot on council, with 19% and 18% of the votes, respectively.

Democrat Keith Reynolds and Republican Melissa Girman-Steffey were tied with 17% of the votes, or 1,171 votes, recorded, according to unofficial county records on Nov. 6.

They beat out Republicans James Kingsley, who had 16% of the vote, and Michael Lewis, with 12%.
