Woman dies after 4-vehicle crash in Pittsburgh

An 89-year-old woman died in the hospital after a four-vehicle crash in Pittsburgh’s New Homestead neighborhood, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office.

Greta L. Winter, of Bethel Park, was driving on Mifflin Road around 11:30 a.m. Monday when her car struck two vehicles, one of which was pushed into a third, according to the city Department of Public Safety.

She was taken by ambulance to the hospital in critical condition, where she died around 1 p.m.

Another woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Two cars were towed from the scene.
