Halloween is party time in New Orleans.

For a good time in New Orleans, Halloween is second only to Mardi Gras.

Long known for its voodoo, vampire and occult undercurrents, the Big Easy offers all kinds of devilish fun leading up to Oct. 31. Here are a few ways the city celebrates:

• Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, Oct. 25-27. More than 2,000 acts, food and arts reflect the city’s multicultural vibe. Headliners include Post Malone, Brandi Carlile and The National.

• Halloween Balcony Party on Bourbon Street, Oct. 26. Costumes, bead-throwing and general madness.

• Endless Night Vampire Ball, Oct. 26. A masquerade, vampire court and burlesque cabaret all in one.

• Ongoing French Quarter haunted tours, visits to voodoo shops and spontaneous street parties.
