Pitt landed some additional size for its class of 2020 when 6-foot-9, 240-pound center John Hugley IV told coach Jeff Capel he plans to enroll next year.

Hugley, who attends Brush High School in Cleveland, is a four-star prospect who is ranked the No. 14 center in the U.S. by 247sports.com. He also is rated the 117th overall prospect in the nation and the top center in Ohio.

Hugley has offers from several schools, including N.C. State, Miami, Florida State, Iowa, Penn State, Xavier, Dayton, Duquesne and Kansas State.

He joins Max Amadasun, a 6-10 prospect from The Bronx, and 6-7 power forward Noah Collier of Norristown among Pitt’s three verbal commitments from this season’s senior class. Amadasun committed to Capel on Monday.
