The E.C. Cruisers have been showing off vintage cars and trucks for a quarter-century, raising money in the process for the Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau Christmas fund.

This year’s show, held Sept. 15 at the Delmont Volunteer Fire Department, saw a record 180 registered cars and a bump in the attendance, according to club member Tom Steiner.

“The final figures are yet to be tallied, but this anniversary cruise is sure to be the most successful to date,” he said. “It’ll probably push the total donated over the past 25 years well over the $100,000 mark.”

The club itself is 27 years old, and began with a group of employees from the Elliott Co. in Jeannette.
