The Greensburg Rotary will hold two fundraisers this month to raise money for scholarships.

First up is a Wellness Check blood screening event to be held Sept. 14 at Senior Life Greensburg, 123 Triangle Drive, from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. The rotary hosts these wellness checks twice a year in partnership with Excela Health,.

The standard blood test costs $55, with additional tests available for extra fees. The test is not covered by insurance. Proceeds benefit the Greensburg Rotary Scholarship Fund.

Walk-ins are welcome, or participants can preregister by visiting excelahealth.org/wellnesschecks or calling 1-877-771-1234.

On Sept. 20 the Rotary will hold a golf outing at the Latrobe Elks Club.

The cost is $125 per golfer or $450 per foursome, which includes a golf cart, snack and a dinner catered by Rizzo’s Malabar Inn. Registration forms are available at greensburgrotary.org.

Since 1956 the Rotary Club of Greensburg has given more than $396,000 in scholarships to more than 300 students from Greensburg Salem and Hempfield Area school districts.
