It’s expected to be a scorcher, but at least the rain has moved out so we can enjoy one of the many events happening this weekend. Here’s what’s going on in Pittsburgh.
Revved up
Start your engines. The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is upon us.
This weekend’s events include the international car show from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and the Schenley Park race day from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
This year’s grand prix is celebrating the Shelby and Mustang. The event benefits the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and Merakey Allegheny Valley School.

Flying high
If you were hoping to catch Bridgeville native Lori Eve Marinacci’s performance as Wendy Darling in the Pittsburgh CLO’s “Peter Pan,” then this weekend is your last chance.
The show is being performed at Benedum Center through Sunday. Tickets start at $27.
Songs include “I’m Flying,” “I’ve Gotta Crow” and “Never Never Land.”

Feeling semi-charmed?
Throw it back to the early 2000s when Third Eye Blind and Jimmy Eat World play Stage AE on Saturday as part of the Summer Gods Tour. They’ll perform with special guest Ra Ra Riot.

Force effect
Experience Star Wars like never before when the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra presents “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.”
The performance features screenings of the complete film with Oscar-winning composer John Williams’ musical score performed live to the film, led by conductor Lawrence Loh.

On the right track
Greenberg’s Great Train & Toy Show, one of the longest running train shows, returns to the convention center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Check out about a dozen operating train displays and 100 vendors who will be on hand.
Admission is $10 on Saturday and $9 Sunday. Children 11 and younger get in free. Parking is free.
