The Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh will host a “star party” at 8:30 p.m., July 28 at Murrysville Community Park.

There will be a short presentation on stargazing and the universe. Afterward, guests will be able to view the sky through association members’ telescopes.

Jupiter and Saturn will be visible, as well as the Aquarids meteor shower and a flyover by the International Space Station at 10:31 p.m.

Attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket and bug spray. Members of the public may also bring their own telescopes.

The program is presented by the Murrysville Recreation Department. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required by calling 724-327-2100, ext. 115 or 131.
